Laser SoftCare
We use Laser SoftCare, a gentle technique, to treat a wide variety of soft tissue procedures. It can help eliminate infection and heal diseased gums which could otherwise lead to early tooth loss. Using Laser SoftCare, we can handle periodontal disease ranging form gingival enlargement and gingivitis to serious periodontitis.
During the gentle procedure, tartar is removed from the root surface of the tooth using an ultrasonic scaler and small instruments. Then, a small amount of light energy from a laser is directed through a tiny fiber, whic is gently placed between the gum and tooth. This light energy aids in reducing the bacteria associated with periodontal disease. Once cleaned, the body can heal the area naturally.
Depending on the severity, treatment may be accomplished in one office visit or multiple visits. The procedure is completed with remarkable speed and is virtually painless.
